Why should I ring Automotion and not my insurance company if I'm involved in a non-fault accident?
If you call your insurance company you will be required to claim under your own policy, you will have to pay your policy excess (if appropriate) and your policy is likely to only cover you for use of a small courtesy car while yours is being repaired. If your vehicle is a write-off you would not normally be provided with a courtesy car at all.
At Automotion there are a whole host of benefits your insurance company simply can't provide including:- a 'like for like' replacement vehicle while yours is repaired, the ability to waive or reclaim payment of your policy excess, management of the repairs of your vehicle or a settlement cheque for a write-off and much more besides.

Can I still make a claim if the other driver wasn't insured?
Don't worry, we can still help you, we can recover your costs from the Motorists Insurer Bureau (MIB), an organisation that exists to compensate any innocent party who has been involved in an accident with an uninsured driver.
Are there any restrictions on age to use your service?
No, we can normally assist anybody and provide you with Comprehensive insurance. In exceptional circumstances we may need to arrange cover on your own insurance.
Do I have a choice on the type of vehicle Automotion provides me with?
We have an extensive fleet of vehicles from hatchbacks and saloons to prestige and high performance vehicles so we can supply you with a vehicle that meets your needs. We understand when you drop off a MPV, that there's no way a Ford Ka or Citroen C1 will fit a family of 5 and a buggy.
How long am I allowed to keep the replacement vehicle for?
If your own car is repairable then until the repairs are complete or in the event of it being a write-off our agreement on your behalf with the Association of British Insurers allows for the hire car to be supplied to you for up to seven days from the day your settlement cheque is received.
Who provides insurance cover on the replacement vehicle?
We will normally provide insurance cover for you; however, in exceptional circumstances it may be necessary for you to insure the vehicle.
Does it matter where in the UK I live?
No! Our service extends to cover all of mainland UK.
Do you offer a delivery and collection service, and if so is there an additional charge for me to pay?
The hire vehicle will be delivered to a place of YOUR convenience. When the hire vehicle is no longer needed, we will simply collect it from where you tell us, we do not make any charges for the delivery or collection of the hire vehicle.Do I have to do anything whilst the claim is ongoing?We simply ask that you co-operate with us and the insurers to help avoid any un-necessary delays.
